MKTwitter is a simple tool that enables you to back up messages on Twitter.
With MKTwitter you can not only download a copy of your own tweets to the hard drive, but also back up messages published by other tweeps that you may want to keep because you find them useful or interesting.
Using MKTwitter is really easy: enter the Twitter username of the person whose tweets you want to back up, and wait patiently until the program is done. Downloaded messages are saved in an Access database file which you can search with specific keywords. The program doesn’t even require installation.
You can tell MKTwitter is still a bit rough around the edges. The Search function doesn’t work properly, and I’m not sure if the program works beyond the 3,200-tweet archive limit set by Twitter itself. In any case, MKTwitter is still easier and quicker than copying and pasting!
MKTwitter is a handy tool to create backup copies from your messages on Twitter – or from anyone else’s.
